Our journey began in 2012 when our founders, Paul McNiven and Manvir Singh, purchased their first care home with a shared vision of making a positive difference in the lives of those who choose to call a care home their home.

Since then, Enhance Healthcare has flourished, expanding our portfolio of care homes and cultivating a dedicated staff team that takes immense pride in delivering first-class care every day. The Care Inspectorate has summed this up very well describing one of our Homes as pioneering and cutting-edge having representatives from all ages in a community setting.

That’s why we have implemented comprehensive e-learning programs across all our homes, with pass rates consistently exceeding 90%. In addition to electronic learning, we provide on-site training to ensure our staff receives the hands-on guidance they need.

Safety and well-being are paramount to us, which is why all our homes have dedicated First Aid trainers who provide essential training to our teams. We also have experienced Manual Handling trainers on site to ensure proper techniques are followed for the safety of both our staff and residents.

In our commitment to excellence, we have specialized trainers who deliver comprehensive training on handling challenging behaviors within our care settings. This equips our staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide personalized and effective care to residents with diverse needs.

Succession planning is a core focus for us. We believe in nurturing talent and providing clear pathways for career progression. Several of our current Home Managers started their careers with us in different roles, demonstrating our dedication to fostering internal development.

Continuity of care is a vital aspect of our approach. We take immense pride in our high staff retention rates, with many of our managers and team members having been with Enhance for years. In fact, two of our Managers have been with us since the very beginning of Enhance, reflecting the strong bonds and trust we have cultivated.

The use of electronic care planning that supports the teams to plan the care and interactions with our residents in real time.

The consoles used by the teams can update many platforms at one time linking together the relevant information on the correct platform.

The consoles can take photographs with the Residents permission to update on activities or clinical information such as wound care.

The electronic care planning is concise accessible and can be read and understood by everyone.

It provides concise handovers to members of the teams and can print information when Residents transfer to another health provider.

We are gradually introducing electronic medicine administration into our Homes.
